Prototype Disclaimer

1. Nature of the Prototype

The CivAlign operational prototype (accessible at civalign.replit.app) is an early-stage, actively developing build intended to demonstrate the core logic of the CivAlign priority weighting and alignment methodology. It is not a finished product, a production system, or a complete implementation of the intended CivAlign Platform.

The prototype is labeled "Operational Prototype — Rapid Iteration Build" to reflect its current development status accurately. It is made available for evaluation, feedback, and methodology validation purposes.

2. Outputs Are Not Final or Authoritative

All outputs produced by the prototype — including alignment scores, rankings, representative assessments, and any other analyses — are:

• Derived from the current state of the model logic, which is subject to ongoing revision
• Based on data ingestion pipelines that are incomplete and under active development
• Not validated for production accuracy
• Subject to change without notice as the system is refined

Prototype outputs should not be relied upon to make voting decisions, civic judgments, or assessments of any public official's record. Users are encouraged to consult primary sources and conduct independent research.

3. Data Completeness and Currency

The data underlying prototype outputs may be:

• Incomplete in coverage of legislative actions or time periods
• Not current as of any particular date
• Subject to errors in ingestion, parsing, or categorization

CivAlign does not represent that any specific legislative action, vote, or record is accurately reflected in the current prototype. Full data sourcing documentation will be published in connection with the public MVP release.

4. No Endorsement or Political Recommendation

Nothing in prototype outputs constitutes an endorsement of, or opposition to, any candidate, political party, or political position. Alignment scores reflect user-defined priority weights applied to prototype-stage data. They are methodological demonstrations, not authoritative civic assessments.

5. Platform Availability

The prototype is hosted on third-party infrastructure (Replit) and is provided without any guarantee of availability, uptime, or continuity. CivAlign may modify, restrict, or discontinue prototype access at any time without notice.

6. Third-Party Hosting

The prototype is hosted on Replit infrastructure. Use of the prototype is subject to Replit's terms of service and privacy policy in addition to these disclaimers. CivAlign is not responsible for Replit's infrastructure, data handling, or service continuity.

7. Feedback and Iteration

User interaction with the prototype is intended to surface methodology issues, interface improvements, and data gaps. If you identify what you believe to be a factual error in prototype outputs, please report it to contact@civalign.org with specific documentation. CivAlign is committed to accuracy and takes factual error reports seriously.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CIVALIGN DISCLAIMS ALL LIABILITY FOR DECISIONS MADE BY ANY USER IN RELIANCE ON PROTOTYPE OUTPUTS. THE PROTOTYPE IS MADE AVAILABLE FOR EVALUATION AND FEEDBACK PURPOSES ONLY. USE IS ENTIRELY AT THE USER'S OWN RISK.
